Exporting from Belgium to non-EU countries can be a challenge. Some countries impose restrictions on the import of certain products or require specific export permits. These conditions and restrictions change regularly and can always be found here.

Specific conditions per country
Each country of export applies its own conditions, making them highly diverse.
These can relate to conditions regarding, among others:
- the origin of animals and plants
- the health of animals and plants
- the type of heat treatment applied to dairy products
- the microbiological status of the goods
- the medical certificate of employees
- and so on
Recent changes in the pig industry
In the pig industry, several export requirements have recently changed, affecting working methods:
- For India, the microbiological requirements for products have been adapted and are now stricter than our own standards. More information on this can be found in the Indian legislation.
- Companies exporting to Australia now have to submit an application for the OCI audit. Extra attention will therefore also be paid to this during the upcoming inspection.
- The pre-certifications issued by the Customs Union have been amended at the request of the FASFC. From now on, reference can no longer be made to participation in the sectoral monitoring plan.
